Chapter Nineteen: Hot Professor:

-Eight Years Ago-

Lauren and Professor Anderson got closer over the translation project. In her mind, they were just teacher and student. She would try not to be alone with him at his house.

“I don’t want to start needless rumors,” Lauren reasoned.

“Why do you care about what others think?” Cole asked.

“I don’t want you to lose your job,” she said.

“And why would I do that?” he asked.

“Well… you’re really attractive and…”

Cole raised his eyebrow. “And…?”

Her cheeks flared a bright red. “You are really hot.”

“Aw, thanks.” Cole noticed her trying to look away. “What is it? It’s normal for students to be attracted to their teachers.” Lauren quickly shook her head.

“I just don’t want to get you into trouble,” she said.

“But we’ve haven’t done anything.”

“Yet.”

Cole raised his eyebrow. “What do you mean yet?”

“Uh… It could be possible.”

“How?”

Lauren shrugged. “It could happen.” Her professor smiled and shook his head.

“You can be assured,” he said. “I do not date my students. You will just be my colleague. If you can’t handle, you are free to leave this project.”

“I will stay and get over my feelings!” Lauren said.

“Very good,” Cole said. There was a knock on his office door.

“Enter!” he said. Lauren turned her head when she heard it open. A woman with blonde hair poked her head inside.

“Is this a bad time?” she asked.

“Oh, no,” the college freshman said. “I was just leaving. Excuse me.” Lauren quickly walked out of the office. Despite what she had promised, her heart was still racing. That talk with Cole made him even more desirable in her eyes. How long before she ended up in his bed? How long before this would have to sneak around just to see each other? How long before they would get caught? And how could he be so sure that it won’t happen?

Back then, she had no idea how far their relationship would end up going.

Meanwhile in his office, Cole smirked to himself. It would be only a matter of time before he had Lauren in his grasp. He was a patient man, counting down to the perfect moment. For now…

“Yes, Heather,” he said. “What did you want?”

“I wanted to ask you about the rally this Saturday,” the professor said.

“Okay, what about it?” Cole asked.
