Chapter Three: Alpha Female:

    Janine made most people fear her.

    Full Name: Janine Rodman

    She too came from out of town. It was said that she came from New York to North Carolina because she stabbed a teacher in the leg with a pen. Not much is known about her mother. (Believed to be dead or ran away after her daughter was born.) Janine lived with an alcoholic father. She claimed to be abused, but those accusations were never founded.

    "Janine was known as a good liar around this town," Kimberley said. "Really manipulative. A puppet master to be exact. She even made the adults worried."

    "We at the police force knew about Janine too well," Sheriff Colin, the head of the Drop Bottom Black Woods case, said. "Drug possession, shop lifting, credit card fraud. There was an assault case, but the victim refused to testify. So, we ended up letting her go in the end."

    School was no different either.

    "She acted like she owned the whole school," the class president, Ashley, said. "The teachers didn't know how to handle her."

    "Queen bee," the math teacher said. "Typical queen bee mean girl."

    No one knew how to deal with Janine. She just did as she pleased, when she pleased. The students feared her yet wanted to be her at the same time. Of course, it was natural for Janine to take delight in this and use it to her advantage.

    "Everyone always did everything for her," one person of her former group, Nathan, said. "She never wanted to get her hands dirty in anything."

    "She promised us anything that we wanted," another person in her former group, Stacy, said. "We all ate out of her hands. We just wanted to be like her. To have the power. To be loved and feared. All of it."

    A puppet master with her toys and rules to her own game. She just loved to mess with people for her own pleasure. It didn't matter who got hurt and used afterwards. Still, her flock followed her around, hoping to be loved. Her own charisma drew them all in and kept them by her side. Not many dared to stand up to her. Those who did, didn't last long.  They either folded or left the school altogether. To terrorize those her stood in her way filled her days. But then, she hit a slight problem in this ideal life she led in high school.

    That problem came in the form of Bella.
