Chapter Thirty-Two: Come with Me Faster:
They ended up back outside of the bar. Julia turned and kissed him on the lips.
Wallace didn’t know how to respond. She leaned her head against his chest.
“Take me to your place,” she whispered. His cheeks turned so red. Wallace nodded
as if under a spell.
“Yes!” he said. His crush giggled. The country boy tried to keep it together.
When did she get like this? This wasn’t the girl from his memories. Julia
grabbed him by the hands and led down the path.
They ended up taking the bus to the apartments. Wallace chuckled nervously to
himself as Julia sat close to him. She tried to kiss him on the lips. His body
went tense. Julia gave him a little pout.
“Aw, what’s the matter?” she asked.
“T-T-Too close,” he said. Julia tilted her head.
“Am I too close?” she asked. Wallace slowly nodded his head. She scooted back a
bit.
“Better?” she asked. The country boy lifted his chin as his face turned bright
red. Her lips curved into a catlike smile. Wallace tried to think of something
to say, but his words became stuck to the roof of his mouth. The country boy
took a look around on the bus. There weren’t many people around. Just one woman
asleep in the back. At first glance, you would think that she was dead with her
mouth wide open. Someone could’ve taken her bag and she wouldn’t know it.
Wallace felt tempted to get up and check to see if she had pulse.
His thoughts were interrupted when someone cuddled up to him again. Wallace’s
heart skipped in his chest. He glanced down to see Julia leaned up at him with a
little smile on her face. The country boy gulped.
“Oh…” he mumbled. “Julia?”
“Uh-huh?” she asked. Wallace lost his train of thought. His eyes trailed away
towards the city rushing by them. She ran her finger on his chest in circles.
The country boy gulped. Oh man…
“Uh…” he said.
“Hm?” Julia asked.
“You are so close,” Wallace said. She smiled to herself.
“I know,” she said. Her finger started to slowly go down to his stomach. Wallace
sat up straighter. Oh boy. What was she doing? His eyes darted back and forth.
They started to move faster. Oh shit…
Julia grinned as her hand moved down further. She stayed over his clothes as she
looked into his eyes. Wallace gulped again. His spine became so stiff. Her hand
slowly started to move downwards. It rested on top of his shorts. She looked
ready to unbutton the top. A lump formed in his throat. He didn’t know whether
to get up and run away or stay frozen. Julia smirked as her hand grew
dangerously close to his crotch. She waited as looking for getting permission
for him to unzip his pants. Her fingers moved to the zipper. Wallace’s mouth
started to move to try and speak. He slowly drew his eyes closed. Was this it?
Was this where he lost his virginity and became a man? Were they going to do it
here on this bus? Here in front of a woman in her forties who was sound asleep
with her mouth wide open?
But then she stopped.
Wallace opened his eyes and looked down. Julia was looking up at him. She drew
back her hand. The country boy panted.
“W-W-Why did you stop?” he asked. His crush gave him a little smile.
“Did you want me to?” she asked. His face looked so red.
“I… I don’t know,” he said. Julia drew back her hand. She sat forward and
watched the city moving along. Wallace tilted his head. Julia suddenly turned
and leaned in close to his ear. The next thing she said made him break out into
a sweat.
“Let’s wait until we get back to your place.”
Wallace whipped his head around with a bright red face. Julia gave herself a quick laugh before turning forward again. The country boy blinked. What was that? Who was this girl going home with him? This wasn’t the Julia that he remembered. When did she change? His stomach turned as he tried to figure out what was going on in this situation. This was going to be a long night, wasn’t it?
