Goodbye Fish
The day’s finally here. Everything’s done. My office is cleaned out. I spent the
waiting weeks training Anna to be me. She learns pretty quickly, I’m happy to
say. Yeah, Thomas Crowne will do fine with her as the new star.
I handed in my letter of resignation to Damon this morning. He reluctantly
accepted.
“We’ll miss you,” he said.
“Thank you,” I said, bowing. They threw a going away party today. I made the
announcement I was leaving at the release party weeks earlier. Anna and a few
others were upset. Patsy looked like she would celebrate. Good riddance to her!
But, I pushed her out of my mind.
This was about my departure from Thomas Crowne.
At 10:21 a.m., I left Thomas Crowne. I had to do it as fast as I could. They
will not trap me here. I took one last look into the building and drove away.
My three years at Thomas Crowne were pretty good. I had my ups and downs. I got
plenty of good ideas while I was there. But if I stayed any longer, I wouldn’t
grow. Tokyo-Zion Academy would be left in the dust. This was for the best.
Today, I can move on with Tokyo-Zion Academy and my relationship with Mosh-kun.
