Chapter
Twelve: Truth Game:
Yui lowered
her crab leg.
“I’ve got an
idea,” she said. “Let’s all play a little game of truth.” We all stared at her.
“What do you
mean?” Eddie asked.
“We ask each
other one question at random and we have to answer honestly,” she said.
“How can you
be sure if we’re telling the truth or not?” I asked.
“That will be
for us to find out,” Yui said.
“But how
could we tell?”
“Play along
and you will see.” Yui’s wink did little to ease my nerves.
Oh boy… Please don’t pick me. Please don’t
pick me! Yui’s eyes moved towards Ruriko.
“Ruriko, have
you ever kissed a girl?” she asked. I breathed out a sigh of relief.
I’m spared! Ruriko sat back with a
little smile on her face.
“Yes,” she
said. The boys whistled as I looked around.
“Ruriko, are
you…?” I began to ask. She sat back, shrugging.
“No,” she
said.
“No?”
“I just love
people.”
I gave her a
funny look. “Huh?”
Ruriko
ignored me as she turned her attention to the rest of the group. “Noiz, suck or
swallow?” My cousin looked up with a blank stare.
“What?” she
asked.
“Just answer
the question,” Ruriko said. Noiz dropped her shoulders.
“Fine,
swallow,” she said. We all stared at her.
“What?!” Noiz
shouted. “It’s true.” I wanted to cover my ears and close my eyes. Mosh looked
away, blushing. My cousin cleared her throat.
“Eddie, have
you slept with many girls?” Noiz asked. Eddie smiled over his grilled fish.
“Hell, yes!”
he said. Tommy, Yu, and Makoto whistled aloud.
“You
man-whore!” Yui said, playfully hitting him on the arm. This game descended into
a truth or truth sex game. Their questions made me blush and the answers were
way too much information. I just wanted to sink in to the sand that I sat on.
Please me kind to me, I thought.
I don’t know if I can handle it.
That’s when I
noticed everyone staring at me.
“Brianna,”
Kyoko said. My heart jumped into my throat.
No! I have had enough mental scarring.
Please be kind. Please be kind!
“Have you
ever had a boyfriend?” Kyoko asked. Her question threw me off-guard.
“What?” I
asked.
“Have you
ever had a boyfriend?” she asked again. It didn’t help that everyone was staring
at me. I lowered my head.
“No,” I said.
“Really?” Yui
asked.
“Yeah,” I
said. Their “awes” only made me feel that much worse. I really wanted to sink in
to the sand. Noiz patted me on the back.
“There,
there, Bri,” she said. “You’ll find somebody soon.”
“Shut up,” I muttered under my breath. Everyone ignored me as they returned eating lunch. I frowned as I shoveled food into my mouth. I hate them all. I really do.
