Big Surprise
Another day at
Tokyo-Zion Academy. Noiz had expected to do more paperwork for the day and go
home. She couldn’t help but notice everyone was grinning and snickering around
her. At first, the kitty shrugged it off.
Guess everyone was in a good mood, Noiz thought. When she rounded the
corner, she found herself greeted by Brooke and Katie.
“Hello, girls,”
she said. The fourteen-year-old girls giggled. Noiz raised an eyebrow at them.
“Something going
on?” she asked. Brooke nudged the Finnish girl on the side. Katie looked at her
with bright eyes.
“Have you
checked your office yet?” she asked. Noiz tilted her head.
“My office?” she
asked. The girls walked away, giggling. The headmistress gave them an odd look.
“Okay…” she
said. The kitty walked up to her office and unlocked the door. When she turned
on the light, she noticed a bright pink box sitting on her desk.
“Huh?” Noiz
asked. “What is that?” A note sat on top of the box reading, “Open me!” The
kitty looked out into the hall. Nobody in sight and she suspected something was
amiss.
“Hah-ha! Very
cute, guys!” she said. “You had me going with this box!” Still, that didn’t stop
the kitty from going over and picking up the note. “To Noiz-sama” was on the top
of the lid in sliver, cursive letters. The kitty took a deep breath as she
grabbed the edges.
One… Two… Three…
Noiz lifted the
lid. A bright flash popped out of the box. Light, carnival music floated through
the air. When the kitty opened her eyes, she saw little stars and butterflies
floating around in front of her eyes. A little smile can onto her face as she
reached out for a little yellow butterfly.
Wow! This is…
Noiz grabbed the
butterfly and everything went black.
Moments later,
she awoke to Mosh, Brooke, and Katie standing over her.
“How was your
present?” Mosh asked. Noiz lay panting as she remembered what happened earlier.
She gave them a little smile.
“Yeah,” she
said. “Where did you get that box?”
“Chinatown,”
Brooke said.
“Oh,” Noiz said.
“Could I have another one?”
