People are Stupid

    I have come to a frightening realization over the past year: Social media is dumbing us down. Back before Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, or the internet, we could just look at a person and think, "Well, they seem fairly intelligent." Today, we go on their Facebook page and realize, "Yep, they're stupid." I was bored and looking around online on afternoon and came across this article about an Australian woman who hit a cyclist. The poor man ended up in the hospital and is probably paralyzed now and you what that woman wrote about on the internet? She wrote about how much he damaged her car and how she expected to get her license back soon. Not a single concern for her victim. The judge suspended her license for nine more months, but if I was him, I would revoke it completely. If I was the cyclist's wife, I would sue her for every penny she had.

    She's not the only one, however. So many people are getting arrested, expelled, or losing their jobs all because of something they posted on Facebook or Twitter. It's not do they not know that everyone can see what they post online? Hello?! Every time I see something in the news talking about how someone got in trouble over something they posted on their social media page, the only question that runs through my mind is, "Do they not realize that everyone can see what they post online?" I hate to break this to you people, but the internet is not a private place. However, the internet is not the only place where stupid people exist.

    They sometimes forget that we live in the twenty first century where cameras and microphones are always recording everything. So when they do something criminal, the authorities have proof to back it up. They might as well confess the truth, but they try to lie their way out of trouble. And as the story goes, it just makes it worse. I want to shake my head at them. Still, ordinary people aren't the only ones who are stupid.

    Politicians are at the top of stupidity. From penis pics to sex scandals, it's just sad to realize these people are in charge. What makes it worse is that it's the same stupid people I mentioned above that keep these dumb politicians employed. It's not just Americans who are idiots, though. Prince Harry went to a costume party dressed up like Nazi and Japanese's prime minister, Abe Shinzo, once said that Japan's old people should just hurry up and die. -Sighs- This just goes to show that even England and Japan have stupid people in their countries. (Don't even get me started on Rob Ford! And no, celebrities would take up too much of this rant and bleed me dry of anything to write. So please, don't ask.)

    I don't know; maybe some of these "stupid" people are just trolling us for  kicks. Maybe they are really smart and bored, so they put up something stuff just to get attention for a laugh. When they do get a reaction, they are laughing their asses off at their computer desks.

    At least, that's what I hope...
