Chapter Forty-Seven: Connections and Plans:

-August 18th, 2011-

Tsuzuki stopped by the infirmary.

“Hello?” he whispered. “Are you awake?” The shinigami walked into the room. His wife sat up in bed.

“Why are you whispering?” Airi asked. Tsuzuki walked in and closed the door behind him.

“Oh good, it’s you,” he said. “How is Anna-chan?”

“Sleeping.”

“When will she wake up?”

“Dunno. Why are you here?”

“I came to see you. And I really need to talk to you about something important.”

“Hm?”

Tsuzuki sat down on the bed. “I want to break the curse over Anna-chan.” He held out his wrists and pointed to them. Airi looked at them.

“So? Why tell me?” she asked. “Just do it.”

“But I don’t want to kill him.”

Airi blinked at him. “Say what?”

“I am not a fan of killing people.”

“But you’re a shinigami.”

“Yes.”

“Your job is to kill people.”

“Well yes, but…”

“But nothing! You have to kill him! It’s the only way. He needs to be judged.”

“I don’t want to kill Yasuo.”

“Why not?”

“I want to kill his kitsune.”

Airi gave him a blank stare. “What?” Tsuzuki breathed and rubbed his forehead.

“The kitsune holds the power, right?”

“Mostly, yes.”

“And the kitsune and tsukai are connected to each other, right?” Tsuzuki asked.

“Yes…” Airi said. “Where are you going with this?” Her husband smiled and winked.

“I am going to separate Yasuo from his kitsune and kill said kitsune,” he said. “How does that sound?” Airi blinked at first.

“Stupid,” she said. “It sounds stupid.”

“Why is that?”

“How will you even do that?”

Tsuzuki chuckled and pointed at her. “You.”

“Huh?” the Mother asked. His face came within inches of hers.

“You are their mother,” Tsuzuki said.

“Yes, and?” she asked. He grabbed her by the hands.

“I need you to help me there,” he said.

“Huh?” Airi asked.  The shinigami grinned as the plan came together in his head.

Aki took Jotaro back to the house. Already, he had an idea that this would end badly. He made plans ahead of time about an hour prior. Aki walked up the stairs and rang the bell. Jotaro looked at his cell. A few more taps on the screen and he was done. When he looked up, Haruka stood in the doorway.

“Welcome,” she said. “I have been expecting you. Aki-chan told me all about you. My name is Kimoto Haruka. Nice to meet you Ikeda Jotaro.” Haruka smiled and bowed. Jotaro didn’t look impressed.

“Nice to meet you too,” he lied. The young man bowed before following Aki into the main Eda-Kimoto House.
