Going Up Against the Devil
Enough with the
games. This boy was getting in the way of his plans. This was not going to do.
That boy kept moving and now he didn’t know where he went. He gritted his teeth.
This would not do.
He stuck up his
hand in the air. Everything started to get hot around him. He drew his eyes
closed. The air thin as it rose up. Soft chants escaped from his lips. His words
grew faster and faster.
His eyes snapped
open. He let out a loud scream.
----------
Masayuki snapped
out of his dazed lull. All of the air around him started to crush him. It felt
like he was being choked. His eyes started to water. What was this? Did he
finally found him? But how? When did he have time to catch up with him? He
couldn’t hear or feel him anywhere. The pressure started squeezing on his limbs.
Don’t let him
take you!
Masayuki tried
to turn his head. A pair of hands grabbed him under the arms.
I’m going to get
you out. Hang on tight!
At first, the
boy wasn’t going anywhere. However, the invisible hands weren’t going to let him
go so easily. The boy just closed his eyes and took it.
Help me out
here!
The boy opened
his eyes. “What?”
Help me out!
“How?”
You will know!
Hurry up! You don’t have time! Do you want to die here?
“No!” Masayuki
closed his eyes. His body went limp in the touch and pressure. The boy was
yanked upward into the calming air. He vanished into thin air.
----------
He stood
waiting. His lips curved into a smirk.
“There you are,”
he said to himself. He held out his palms. There were only three words to speed
things along.
“Come to me.”
He snapped his
fingers.
----------
Masayuki opened
his eyes to see a man dressed in a fancy black and red suit. The small pair of
hands rested on his shoulders.
Are you going to
back away from this?
He clinched his
fists at his sides. “No.”
The men stood facing each other, daring the other to move.
