Chapter Twenty-Six: Noizchild:
Today wasn’t a total waste.
-Dream Begins-
Noiz walked around in the woods surrounded by fireflies. She began to recognize
where she was. The kitty girl smiled to herself.
“Oh, you’re here,” she said. Her kitsune prince stepped out from behind a tall
tree. His eyes were just as beautiful as she remembered them. The wind blew
through his long, white hair. His kimono matched his hair and pale skin. Noiz
gulped as she stood her ground.
“I don’t understand it,” she said. The kitsune narrowed his eyes at her. Noiz
stepped back, trembling.
“What do you want from me?” she asked. Only the breeze blew by her ear gave her
the answer that she was seeking.
I love you. I
love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.
Noiz backed away, trembling. “What is this?”
I love you! I
love you! I love you! I love you!
“Stay away! Stay away!”
I love you. Come
away with me.
Noiz finally calmed down and stood still. She smiled as she shook her head.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I am flattered that you love me, but I cannot be with
you.” The kitsune stared at her as the wind died down.
But why not?
“I am in love with someone else.” She moved her hand to her chest. “Though we
did have a falling out about three years ago, we got back together and we’re
trying to fix it all. I’m sorry, I just can’t leave him for any reason.” A
breeze murmured a sadder pitch in her left ear. Noiz gave the kitsune a gentle
smile.
“Don’t worry,” she said. “You will find your own mate someday. It just won’t be
with me right now.” The beautiful kitsune bowed his head.
I understand.
In a breeze of cherry blossoms, he disappeared. And Noiz never saw him again.
-End of Dream-
The next morning, Noiz lay in bed with a smile on her face. Mosh turned to her,
looking perplexed.
“Something good happen?” he asked.
“Not really,” the kitty said.
“Then why so happy this morning?”
Noiz shook her head. “You real reason.”
“Okay…”
“I did have one thought though.”
The mouse boy leaned with his ear perked. “What is that?”
“I love you so much,” Noiz said. Mosh rubbed the back of his head.
“Well, I love you too,” he said. His wife looked at the ceiling and let her mind
get lost on the next thing waiting before she got up for the day.
