Chapter Seven:
Planning:
The members of
Frosty began planning. The general sat at the table in thought.
“Gentlemen! The time
has come to make our attack!” she said. The men stared at her transfixed. The
general cleared her throat.
“Jack Frost has kept
us down for too long!” she shouted.
“Yeah!” her man
shouted.
“We shall attack by
the high sun!”
“Yeah!”
They have been
waiting for this all morning. Some of the members were out for blood. There were
already spies looking out at the other fort. Everyone was waiting for the
signal. The general stood up. She pointed down to a map on the table.
“We shall charge
forward to the gates of their fort!” she said.
“Yeah!” her men
shouted. The general used her pointer to run it along a path on the map.
“This. This is the
path to victory. Take up arms and we shall storm the fort!” she shouted. The men
cheered again. One guy in the back raised his hand.
“So how will we
attack?” he asked. All eyes fell on him. The general raised her eyebrow. The
private hesitated as he lowered his hand.
“I’m just saying,”
he said. “They could be spying on us right now.” Everyone thought about this for
a moment. The guy did have a point. The general gave him a dull smirk.
“We will charge
forward with everything that we got!” she said. She sounded so confident in that
statement.
“Yeah!” the men
cheered. The private sat back with his hands up.
“I don’t have a good feeling about this…” he said to himself.
