Chapter Four: Teams C and D:
Team C
“Are you sure we’re going to find the Butter Flower here?” Kellie asked. She,
Amethyst, and Daisuke looked through the garden in the east.
“Why not?” Amethyst asked. “We’re in a garden. Flowers grow there. So…”
“Good point,” Kellie said. “But why this garden?”
“I don’t know,” the Icelandic girl said. “Just keep looking!” The three of them
crawled around in the flowers.
“Why does he want this flower?” Daisuke asked.
“Who cares?” Amethyst asked. “Let’s just get it and get back to the party.”
“There’s a party tonight?” Kellie asked.
“Maybe,” the Icelandic girl said. “I want to find out after we get that flower.”
“My legs are itchy,” Daisuke complained.
“Keep looking!” Amethyst shouted.
“But…” he said.
“Keep looking!” she shouted again. The boy reluctantly kept looking. An hour had
passed and Amethyst stood up.
“Well,” she said. “It’s not here. Ready to move onto the next patch?” Kellie
didn’t look too happy to hear that. Daisuke just scratched on his legs in
discomfort.
“Right,” Amethyst said. “Let’s get going.” She looked down at the intern’s legs.
“Ooo, get some cream or something,” she said. The Icelandic girl walked further
down the path. Kellie followed behind. Daisuke scratched his legs as he walked
after them.

Team D
The boys went west. Tony, Art, and Mosh didn’t have a clue what they were doing.
The mouse boy looked around at the trees above them.
“Why does he want this flower?” he asked.
“Shit if I know,” Tony said. “Let’s just get the damn thing and move on.”
“Okay…” Mosh said. Art kept quiet the whole time. Tony looked over his shoulder.
“What’s on your mind?” he asked. No response. Tony and Mosh looked at each
other. Art did have his map out though. A thought crossed the mouse boy’s mind.
“How long do we have on this hunt?” he asked. “What time does it stop?”
“Six, I believe,” Tony said. “Why do you ask?” Mosh shrugged and shook his head.
“Just asking…” he muttered. He shoved his hands into his pockets. Art walked
behind them with the map in his hand.
“Are we going left or right?” he asked. Tony and Mosh turned to him looking
shocked. They looked at each other for moment.
“Uh… left, I guess,” the Russian man said. He turned to Mosh.
“What do you think?” Tony asked. The mouse boy shook his head and shrugged. The
Russian man shrugged as well.
“Left it is then,” he said. The mean didn’t say a word as they followed behind.
Only an hour and twenty-eight minutes have passed in the hunt for the Butter Flower.
