Indigo Kids Tour Pt. IV

Ryan has this ritual before every show. He stood in front of the mirror. The vocalist picked up his guitar and plucked a few notes. There is nothing special to it. Just some random notes. He has to do it while alone. Ryan doesn't want any distractions when he does this. He has to be in the right headspace to make this work. He can hear the notes being looped in his head.

It changes all of the time. The same notes will become dull to him. He has to change it up. Ryan only has five minutes to get through this. That's all he needs. The trick was how to pull it off once without any distractions. (He set up the camera for himself. Even the film crew couldn't be in the same room as he does this.) Once the camera was set and recording, Ryan put his guitar around his shoulders. He got right into playing random notes.

A knock came on the door.

He paused over his guitar.

"Yeah?" Ryan asked.

"You're on in five," the manager said. Ryan sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah!" he said. He waited for the manager to turn and away from the door. Ryan sighed and shook his head. Looks he's going to have to start again. The vocalist took a breath and started playing the notes again. This was going to take a while. Fine by him. There were five more minutes before the show began after all.
