Woman on a Mission
Ivy wants something juicy. She had to be professional. Didn’t stop her from
having a private gossip blog on the side. She had to make some noise.
The editor booted up her laptop. She logged in and got online. First the message
boards. Typical gossip on different bands. Fans enjoying the music festival.
Which members are hooking up. Ivy scrolled through all of it. It’s an addiction
really. She practically lived on the gossip. Tonight, however, she was on a
mission. Ivy headed to the gossip page.
Jackpot.
Mai and Isao were trending. Fans were asking if they were an item. Some thought
yes. Others didn’t believe it. Ivy scrolled through smirking to herself. Only
she knew the truth.
Time to stir the pot.
Ivy clicked the reply link. She got right to typing. Her lips curved into a
hungry smirk. The editor hit send. She leaned back in her chair.
“I think they are. I have it on my good authority that they are on their first
date tonight.”
Now to let the comments roll in. It didn’t take long either.
“No way!”
“You’re lying!”
“I knew it!”
“Where?”
“I don’t believe you.”
“How do you know this?”
Ivy smirked to herself and started tying. She hit enter and sat back.
“A friend of mine is in the restaurant Isao and Mai are at now. She’s lowkey
watching them.” Ivy figured that she would check in with Namiko again soon. Oh
look! More comments.
“Lucky!”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Where?”
“Pictures or it didn’t happen!”
“Which restaurant?”
Should she say it or just hold off? This was too good to pass up but she had
work to do. Ivy was assigned to work on some top ten list. She shrugged as she
looked at her screen. Oh well. Not like she had anything better to do. Plus she
could knock out the article fast. Not a problem for her. Ivy smirked to herself.
Yeah. Let the pot stew for a while. She did her part tonight. And now to let it
all boil. Ivy closed her browser and got to work on that listicle. She couldn’t
help but smirk to herself all the while.
