Memory Trip

Dateline: Blare wants to kill the royal family and all of Japan. Grace smoked her first (and last) cigarette.

Today is June the eleventh and it is raining. Grace pushed her curtain open to look outside. All she saw rain, rain, and more rain. She just sighed as she closed her. "Goodbye trip to the beach!" she thought. Then she sat down on the floor. "What a boring day!" she thought. "I wouldn't say that!" said a voice in the closet. "Who said that and where are you? " she asked. "I'm in your closet." So Grace walked over to the closet and opened the door. Inside was a girl with white skin, long blond hair, and blue eyes. She was wearing a loose fitting long sleeve long skirt orange dress with orange shoes and a small orange flower wreath. "I am the immortal of physic named Katrina." said the girl before Grace could even get the questions out of her mouth. Grace just stood there. "I'm good. aren't I?" she asked. Grace just nodded. "Of course I am." she said. Grace didn't get it.

"So, You claim you are bored. Am I right?" asked Katrina. "Yes." said Grace. "Why are you bored?" asked the physic girl. "Because when it's raining, you can't go to the beach." said the little princess. "Yeah, but you can still have fun inside." said Katrina. "Sure, I've played with my dolls, pokemon cards, my uno game, I can't play with any of my board games because Mitch is asleep so he can't play with me, Mommy went somewhere, I can't play on the computer because it's lighting and thundering outside, there's nothing to watch on T.V., I don't feel like watching any videos, there's no good songs on the radio, and I don't feel like listening to any cds or tapes." said Grace. "Did you try looking for the answers to your past?" asked Katrina. "Huh?" asked Grace as she looked up at her new friend. "Why do you and I go up to the attic together and look though your past?" suggested Katrina. "I might as well, since there is nothing else to do." said the little princess. Then Katrina took Grace by the hand and walked out of her room and into the hall.

Grace flew up to string that was connected to the attic door and pulled on it so the door could come down to them. Katrina folded out the stairs so they could climb up them. Katrina climbed up the stairs first and then Grace climbed up behind her. Once up there, Katrina turned on the light switch. Everything was old and dusty. " *cough* This place needs to be dusted!" yelled Grace. Then she pointed her finger and she made the dust disappear. "That's better." she said. "Hey, let's look over in that trunk of there." said Katrina as she pointed to the huge trunk over by the window. "All right." said Grace. Then they walked over to it. "We don't have a key." said Grace. "I know where it is." said Katrina. "Where?" asked the little princess. "Right... there." said Katrina, pointing to the stack of old books on a smaller trunk. Grace walked over to those books. She opened the first book (which was her grandmother's diary.) and found pressed leaves inside. "Katrina, look!" said Grace. Katrina walked over to her. "What is it?" she asked. "Come read with me." said Grace. Then Katrina down on the floor with her new friend. "Day one today is my first day of junior high. I am really nervous. But I know I can make it." read Grace. "Our teacher's name is Mr. Hobbes and he is really really hot!" read Katrina. The two of them read on until they were finished with the diary. "That was fun, but we still need to find that key." said Katrina. "I know. I know." said Grace. Then she got up off of the floor and looked though the stack of old books again.

She opened the second book (which was her mother's baby book.) and found colorful picture. "Let's read this one together." she said. "All right." said Katrina. Then Grace sat back down on the floor with her new friend. "Look Jane! See Spot! See Spot Run! Fun Fun!" read Grace. "Look Billy! See Spot! See Spot Run! Fun Fun!" read Katrina. The two of them read on until they were finished with the baby book. "That was some what fun, but we still need to find that key." said Katrina. "I know. I know." said Grace. Then she got up off of the floor and looked though the stack of old books again. She opened the third and final (which was her mother and father's wedding journal.) and found the key to the trunk. "Katrina, I found the key!" said Grace. "Let's read the journal first." said Katrina. "All right." said Grace. hen Grace sat back down on the floor with her new friend. The pages still in good condition and they still smelt of rose petals. The pictures were in color. The two of them read on until they were finished with the journal.

Then Katrina and Grace got up off the floor and walked of the trunk. Katrina put the key into the keyhole and turned the key. Grace tried to lift the lid of the trunk up. "Katrina. I need some help with this it's too heavy." she said. Katrina put her hands on the lid and they both opened together. Inside they found all of her Mother keepsake. They took them out and looked at each. Then Grace looked out the window. "Hey, It stopped raining!" said Grace. Then she turned to Katrina. "Do you want to play outside?" she asked her. "Sure." said Katrina. Then they both cleaned up the mess and left the attic and closed it. Then Katrina and Grace went outside to play.
