Chapter Three: Plan in Making:

-September 2nd, 2011-

Today was a slow day. Tsuzuki sat over his cake plotting. This moment was perfect.

“Hey, Hisoka,” he said.

“Hm?” the younger shinigami asked. Tsuzuki turned to him with big, excited eyes.

“Let’s get Yasuo-san today!” he said. Hisoka turned his head.

“Other than the obvious, why?” he asked.

“The obvious,” Tsuzuki said. “Most of the family’s dead. Plus, he still has his curse over Anna.” His partner narrowed his eyes.

“Okay…” he said.

“Wait,” Tsuzuki said. “I don’t want to kill him.” His partner looked confused.

“What?” he asked.

“Hear me out,” the older shinigami said. “What if we killed the kitsune?” Hisoka raised his eyebrow.

“But won’t that kill Yasuo?”

“Not if we separate them first.”

“I’m not following…”

Tsuzuki gleamed like a little kid getting a new bike. “The Mother has a way to cut the tie between them.” He noticed Hisoka frowning.

“What?” Tsuzuki asked.

“This won’t work,” his partner said.

“But we haven’t tried.”

“I know.”

Tsuzuki pouted. “Please?”

The younger shinigami frowned. “Why do you want to try this plan so much?” His partner’s eyes shifted away.

“I have my reasons,” he said. He looked up. “If you won’t do it for me. Do it for the victims. All those women can’t rest. We’re going crazy from the paperwork. Please Hisoka. This has to end. Please?” Tsuzuki went into full puppy mode. The whimpering wore down Hisoka. The younger shinigami gritted his teeth.

“Fine,” he said. “But we will kill them if it fails,” Tsuzuki wildly hugged the shinigami.

“You’re the best!” he said.

“Please get off,” Hisoka said, wincing. Tsuzuki let go, smiling. He began to build the rest of his plan together. He knew she would be onboard. How could she say no?
