Pulled Along with the Mess
Nancy and Haru
had no clue what was going on. They walked into this apartment during a storm
and now they couldn’t leave. Now, they didn’t know what to do. Haru squeezed
Nancy’s hand. His girlfriend turned her head. For some reason, they didn’t
speak. It wasn’t that they couldn’t. They just hadn’t tried. The couple knew
that they couldn’t stay here. But how were they going to get out of here?
“Haru…” she
began to say. Her boyfriend turned his head. Nancy closed her mouth. She was
going to say something but lost her thought. So many eyes were on them. The
couple probably shouldn’t have been there. They would have to be dealt with
later.
“What’s going on
here?” Nancy mouthed at her boyfriend. He shook his head. There would be
occasional chatter but it didn’t last long. None of it made any sense. One of
the women in the circle looked up at them. The couple froze as they waited for
what was going to happen next.
-------------
What should they
do with these interlopers? The angels haven’t figured out the answer to that
yet. They couldn’t worry about them now, but they needed to be dealt with.
Who are they?
I don’t know.
They can’t stay
here.
We know!
So what are we
going to do?
We have to focus
on this right now. We can’t have them both lost in that place forever. They are
going to need a pathway back.
I know that. But
who the hell are they? The angels all looked up at the
couple in the room. They stared back at them. No one dared to say a word.

Meanwhile, the
storm got harder. The rest of the town didn’t notice a thing. The typhoon had
already passed by. No one thought to take a look at that odd rundown apartment
outside of town. It just looked normal on the outside. It’s hard to say how long
that was going to stay. Was it going to spread to the rest of the town?
It all started with Haru and Nancy. Even they don’t know how much they will be affected. For now, they were busy trying to figure out what to do next and how to get out of this. As far as the couple knew, it was going to take a while. It’s kind of a shame that they are running out of that too.
