Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower. It has become an icon to this very day. Along with Mt. Fuji it symbolizes Japan itself. Only this was a modern symbol of the Land of the Rising Sun. Mt. Fuji itself was the traditional symbol. The tower was first born in 1957. It took about two years to make. It opens its doors on December twenty-third, 1958. Today, the tower stood high in the sky looking down at all its people. Magnificent! Makes a soul cry at the sight of it. Something about Tokyo Tower stirs a soul deep inside.

It's taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The red and white colors make it stand out in the sky. The people on the ground wonder where it ends. The tower's point seems to caress the heels of God himself. Even the Stardust Factory building couldn't compete with such a building. The top over comes up to the main observation deck. Good enough for Andy, though. That was all he needed to make this film.

High noon today. The tower sat in view looking high and powerful. Andy really didn't have to do much for this film. He only sat there and stayed quiet. The tower didn't have to do anything at all. It just had to stand there and be perfect. No special effects. No music. Just Tokyo Tower itself. Nothing else to spoil such a beauty. Okay, Ian did mess it up a little bit. That could be edited out later.

Sure is a hot afternoon today. Andy only leaves the camera to go the bathroom, eat, and sleep. He kept his attention on the tower in front of him. Ian tried his best to do the same and keep quiet. Slowly, he began to get bored with the project. In time, the director slinked off back into the Factory. Andy didn't seem to notice. But, Ian was used to that by now. After all, his boss/lover *did* have to work.

The sun began to set. The light cast beautifully over Tokyo Tower. Pretty soon the life inside of it would be asleep for the night. The tower was pretty much a tall museum. So much to do inside that mighty giant. It had a wax museum of Pink Lady, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Amy Winehouse, and the Jonas Brothers. Fish swam around freely in the first floor aquarium. The hologram museum always drew people in with their magical light shows. Plus, there were plenty of places to eat inside. People could choose from pizza, sushi, and even McDonald's. But the best part was the two observation decks. Many have been to the main observation deck. Few have been to the special observation deck. Both of them made one feel like God looking down at the city. Andy had been to both and everything else in between. It all looked the same to him. The only thing that mattered was the observation decks. He just wanted to feel like God above the city.

Night time now. Tokyo Tower is now lighting up. It looked like the Christmas tree in Time Square when its lit up. The life in the tower had wound down for the night. That didn't stop Andy, however. He just wanted to see the mighty giant from the roof of the Factory on the outside at night. What an exciting view to behold! This was much better than what he had imagined. Yes, the tower just had to be and its own magic took over. Just as Andy had planned it.

Sunrise now. The lights in the tower slowly extinguish one by one. It's about time to wrap up soon. Andy came back to his camera. Good, still recording. Plus, it was clear all night last too? Does get any better than this! Andy sat down behind the camera with his Starbucks coffee in hand and watched the Tower as the film began to wrap up.

Morning. Tokyo Tower still stands to see another busy day in Tokyo.
