Chapter Three: Trapped Man:
-10:45 a.m.-
Jotaro made it
to the lobby of Ju-Oh-Cho. He walked up to the receptionist’s desk. The woman
behind the glass looked up. Jotaro held out his wrists.
“I’m turning
myself in,” he said. The receptionist gave him a strange look.
“For what?” she
asked.
“I killed
people,” Jotaro said. “Lots of them. The young man tried to sound intimidating.
The receptionist narrowed her eyes.
“Okay…” she
said.
“I’m dangerous,”
he said.
“Right,” she
said. The receptionist picked up her phone.
“Hello?” she
asked. “There is some guy down here confessing to a murder. He wants to turn
himself in.” Her tone never changed. Jotaro paced around as he glanced behind
him.
“Uh-huh,” the
receptionist said. “Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Thanks. Goodbye.” The receptionist
looked up at Jotaro. He stared intently at her.
“Someone is
coming to talk to you,” she said. Jotaro looked happy before toughening up
again.
“Good,” he said.
He folded his arms across his chest.
“Right,” the
receptionist said. “Can you just take a seat please?”
“Yes ma’am,”
Jotaro said. He walked over to the sofa and took a seat. The time was now 10:47
a.m.

-11:18 a.m.-
Tsuzuki sat in
his office, frowning. That bastard was here like he promised. What exactly was
he planning?
I don’t like this.
Tsuzuki rose to
his feet. Hisoka looked up.
“Tsuzuki?” he
asked. His partner walked out of the office, closing the door behind him. The
younger shinigami had a bad feeling about this. He got up and followed Tsuzuki.
“Tsuzuki!”
Hisoka yelled. The older shinigami didn’t turn around.
“Tsuzuki!”
Hisoka yelled again. His partner still didn’t turn around. They made it down to
one of the interrogation rooms. Jotaro sat at a table with Tatsumi and Konoe.
Hisoka grabbed Tsuzuki tried to open the door. He whipped his head around.
“What?” Tsuzuki
asked.
“What are you
doing?” his partner asked.
“What are you
doing?” his partner asked. The older shinigami didn’t speak. In the
interrogation room, Jotaro, Tatsumi, and Konoe looked up. Tsuzuki breathed
heavily. He could see red. Tatsumi walked up to the door. Hisoka tried to pull
his partner away.
“Come on,” he
whispered. “Don’t do this.” Tsuzuki tried to push him off.
“Let me go,” he
hissed. Tatsumi opened the door a crack.
“Is there a
problem here?” he asked.
“Yes,” Tsuzuki
said. “What is
he doing here?”
“We don’t know,”
Tatsumi said.
“What?” his
former partner asked. The secretary pushed up his glasses.
“He won’t talk,”
he said.
“What do you
mean?” Tsuzuki asked. Tatsumi sighed.
“He refuses to
talk until he sees one person,” he said. Already, the older shinigami hared
where this was headed.
“Who?” he asked.
“Your wife,”
Tatsumi said.
“Never,” Tsuzuki
said. He turned and stormed off.
“Tsuzuki!”
Hisoka shouted. His partner waved him off. The younger shinigami turned to
Tatsumi. The secretary shrugged and shook his head.
Meanwhile,
Jotaro waited with a tense mood under a stoic mask.
