Chapter Thirty-Two: Village of Secrets:

Cherry blossoms floated down to the grass. Noiz took a sip of tea in her backyard.

“Mmm,” she said. “Such a nice feeling.”

“Yes,” Mosh said in a dream-like tone. They both sat outside on a blanket in the grass. All Mosh’s idea, really. His wife turned to him.

“What made you think of this?” she asked. The mouse shrugged.

“Felt like it,” he said.

“Ah, I see,” she replied. She took another sip of tea. The idea came to him this morning in bed.

“Noiz-sama,” he said. “Let’s go on a picnic.” She gave him a strange look.

“What?” she asked.

“I want to go out today,” he said. “So I thought, we could have a picnic.” Noiz still blinked at him.

“Why?” she asked. Her husband shrugged.

“Cause.”

“Cause why?”

“Felt like.”

Noiz blinked at him again. “But where are we going to go?”

Mosh sat up with a grin. He leaned in close to her pretty face. “Come on along and I’ll show you.”

“Huh?”

“Get up and come on!” The mouse pulled her right out of bed.

“Whoa there!” Noiz cried. “Slow down!”

“Well come on!” her husband said.

“Okay, okay!” she replied. In a few minutes, Noiz had showered and gotten dressed. With some short preparation, the impromptu picnic began. Mosh turned to his wife.

“How’s your sushi?” he asked. The kitty gave him a little smile.

“Good,” she replied. “Though, not as good as you.” Mosh blushed.

“Oh… oh…” he mumbled.

“How’s your sushi?” she asked. Mosh nodded as he tried to get back his words.

“Good!” he yelped at last. His wife giggled at him.

“You’re so cute,” she said as she patted him on the head. Mosh’s blush deepened to a fast red. Noiz giggled again. The mouse’s lips twisted into a little smile.

This felt really pleasure. Just the two of them in the backyard with sushi, tea, and sweet cakes on a blanket on a Sunday afternoon. Noiz rather cute in the spring sun. The white sundress decorated with red strawberries suit her well. She had taken her sandals off at the moment. Her feet seemed to flirt with him in the warm spring air. He wanted to give them a little kiss right now.

Now that he thought about, Noiz always had this weird Southern charm to her. Crazy fit her well, but yet he couldn’t help but to be drawn into her. She knew that too well. Mosh couldn’t remember a moment where she didn’t tease him in a flirty way. She never meant any malice by it. That was how she showed that she loved him. Mosh only took it with a smile. After all at the end of the day, the reward was well worth.

“Mosh-kun,” a voice said. The mouse quickly returned to earth and saw the face of his beloved staring back at him with a puzzled look on her face. A playful heat circled in his cheeks.

“Yes?” he asked.

“Are you feeling okay?” she asked.

“Yes!” Mosh said with a quick yelp and nod. They didn’t speak at first. Then, the kitty broke into a smile.

“Oh, I see!” she said aloud. “Daydreaming about me again, huh?” The mouse’s face burned a high red by that point.

“NO!!!” he cried. “I mean, not right now!” Noiz laughed again.

“Then, what were you thinking?” she asked. Her husband tried to struggle to find the right words to humor her.

“Uh… uh… What I want to do to you right now!” he blurted out.

“Oh?” the cat asked. “And what is that?” Mosh paused for a long moment. Then as if on instinct, he kissed her on the lips. Happily surprised, Noiz smiled and kissed him back.

Could such a Sunday afternoon get any better?
