Dateline: Sammi
has
left the future Ketchum family.
“Children!” Megan called from the living room. Mitch and Kohana ran
to
her. “I’m going out for the evening and won’t be home until later
tonight.
So I want you to behave until I get home. Okay?” Megan explained.
“Okay.”
said the little kids. “Great, the maids are here if you need them.”
said
she. Then the queen left them. “So, now what do we do?” Kohana asked.
“It’s time for your bath.” said Mitch. “K!” said
Kohana. Then he took
her to the bathroom.
***
“Your
bath is ready.” Mitch said to Kohana. Then the little princess took
off
her little pink bathrobe and climbed into the bathtub. Mitch washed her
clean. When she had her bath, Kohana changed into her sugar pink
nightgown
while Mitch had his bath. Once they were both bathed, the kids went to
bed.
***
Although
she was tired, Kohana just couldn’t sleep. So she got up and went to
her uncle’s room. Kohana had to push his sliding door softly in order
not to wake him. “Can’t sleep either?” Mitch asked her as she came in.
At first she was startled, but then she answered: “No.” “Well, there’s
only one thing to do.” said he. “Uh…. What’s that?”
Kohana asked. Then
Mitch leapt out of bed and went down to the living room. Curious,
Kohana
followed behind.
***
“What
are you doing?” Kohana asked as she watched her uncle put a tape into
the VCR, turn on the T.V., and hit record on the VCR. “We’re going to
catch
that movie that’s on now.” Mitch answered. Then he sat down on the
black
futon couch. Feeling like it was okay, Kohana sat down on his lap. A
few hours later, Mitch and Kohana fell asleep in the middle of the
movie.

When
Megan came home and saw the sleeping children on the black futon couch
with the T.V., she just smiled and shook her head. The she turned the
T.V.
off, (But left the VCR recording. She didn’t want to disappoint the
babies!)
and put them in bed.
