III: The Prince is Arrested

Three soldiers dragged the young man to the castle.

They were desperate for food and money.

They will do anything to get it.

Someone has to pay the price for their hunger and greed.

Their latest victim is this young man.

It was a sneak attack too.

They hit him in the back of the head and dragged him onto their horse.

The young man ended up in the court of the kingdom.

A public trial was held.

There was no real evidence.

That didn’t matter to this corrupt court.

The evil princess just wanted blood.

Any reason would be perfect.

The soldiers lied about an assassination plot on her.

The prince couldn’t even defend himself.

They found him guilty and sentenced him to death in three days.

Luckily for the prince, he had prepared for something like this.

He had heard the stories of executions from sham trials.

He made a promise to his mother that he would return to his kingdom alive.

The prince was bound to keep his word.

He just needed to form a plan to escape before his execution.

To his surprise, the prisoners would be more than happy to help out.
