Chapter Twelve:
Foolish Little Brats:
Watching idiots
thrashing around in the snow. There’s going to be another war coming. Didn’t
this happen last year? It happened every year. What was the point of stopping
it? Some of the students and staff stopped caring at this point. Let the idiots
be.
However, the war
might be getting closer.
It started with one
snowball.
Wham!
Brooke and Katie
were eating lunch in the Main Hall’s dining hall. The Finnish girl looked up
with a gasp.
“What the?!” she
shouted. Brooke threw back her head and groaned.
“Don’t mind them,”
she said. “It’s just those idiots again.” Katie sat there for a second,
blinking.
“Oh,” she said.
Wham!
Katie looked out the
window. “How long are they going to keep doing that?”
“Who knows?” Brooke
asked.
“Oh,” her friend
said. The girls watched some of the soldiers thrashing around in the snow. It
looked like a bunch of penguins piling on top of each other.
“Why do they do
that?” Katie asked. Brooke shook her head.
“Don’t know. And
frankly, I don’t care.”
The Finnish girl
raised her eyebrow. “You don’t want to join?”
“Nah.”
“Why not?”
The American girl
shrugged and shook her head. “Too much of a hassle.”
“Ah.”
The girls turned back to the window and watched the small armies thrashing around in the snow. It was only going to get worse.
