Chapter Eleven: Rome Shopping:

Diamond is sitting in the taxicab. “Good morning! Are you ready to go? Did you enjoy yesterday? I did too! We got the long boring information part of the way. Don’t get me wrong, Rome’s history is good and all. But I am more into the trendy side of the city. Which is what we are doing today. Get in. We’re going shopping.” She smiles.

“Good, good. I know some of the best spots to shop at. Don’t worry. I will tone it down today. I won’t go crazy with the money. There are better things to spend it on. You will be in good hands. Trust me.” She takes the guest by the hands.

“Sure we can buy something from the street vendors. Just let me do the talking. I can get us a better deal. We can browse the high-end shops too. Hm? Is my friend coming with us again?” She begins to smile.

“Yeah. She’s going to meet us in the center. It’s fine, she doesn’t mind. But she can’t stay with us long. She has to work this afternoon. My friend has an internship with a government official. What? You don’t believe me?” She shrugs.

“That’s find by me. You can believe what you want. Anyway, what else are we doing today? Oh, let’s do some more sightseeing. Lunch will be on me as usual. You know, let’s do it up big today! I am going to take you to the best restaurant in Rome. You’re going to love it.” She sits back, smiling. She lifts her head.

“Hm? What’s that? Are we going to the Vatican?” She takes the guest by the cheeks.

“Of course we are! I won’t let you leave Italy until you do. You’ve got to see the chapel. You can’t film or take pictures though. I can get you there really early before the crowds.” She grabs the guest by the hands.

“This is going to be great! Let’s get going! Ready to go? Good! Let’s do this!”
